HRH Queen Dr. Nana Adjoa Akyekumaa, Collaboration.
During the ATIC Conference in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the KipajiKazi Academy proudly showcased the incredible work of our students who have been nurtured under the KipajiKazi Social Enterprise Model — a model that is transforming lives through creativity, innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship.

We were deeply honored to host Her Royal Highness Dr. Nana Olivia Mirembe Musisi (HRH Queen Dr. Nana Adjoa Akyekumaa I), the Development Queen Mother of Gomoa Abonko, Central Region, Ghana, and Founder of the Rising Stars Program. The Queen officiated the first graduation ceremony of our KipajiKazi Academy cohort, mentoring and inspiring our young changemakers to believe in their power to shape Africa’s future.
Also in attendance were other dignitaries, including global leaders, social innovators, and partners who witnessed firsthand how KipajiKazi is equipping youth, women, and persons with disabilities with practical tools to turn local challenges into opportunities.
Her Royal Highness was profoundly touched by the vision and impact of the KipajiKazi model and committed to joining hands with us through her Rising Stars Initiative to expand this transformative mission across the African continent.
This marks the beginning of a historic collaboration — uniting visionaries and leaders who share one goal: building a self-reliant, empowered, and sustainable Africa.
KipajiKazi is not just a program; it is a movement redefining empowerment, rooted in local resources and driven by African ingenuity. Together, we are building the Africa we want.
Honored by AMREF Kenya. We used the airbrush technology Innovation to educate and inform the masses on the appropriate measures to take during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As KipajiKazi we are humbled by the recognition by Good Market Global for our work for work for the people and environment.
Waste to gold made to the top contenders of the coveted prize from over applications that were recieved accross Africa.
KipajiKazi is a Kenyan social enterprise that partners with People and Planet First to create sustainable opportunities for youth, women, and people with disabilities by leveraging local talents and resources. The organization supports a holistic social entrepreneurship model, as seen in their waste management initiative in Korogocho Market, and aims to build inclusive growth and transformative change.
What if the food we throw away could power homes, create jobs, and protect our planet? That’s exactly what Waste to Gold, a groundbreaking community-driven initiative, is doing right here in Korogocho — one of Nairobi’s most vibrant yet underserved neighborhoods.

Led by Emmanuel Muchule under the visionary leadership of Chief Innovator and Founder, Meshack Nyaberi (Kipajikazi), this project is turning organic waste — especially overripe avocados and food leftovers — into valuable, eco-friendly products like briquettes and avocado oil.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
✅ Reduce food waste and prevent environmental degradation.
✅ Empower women and youth from humble backgrounds through practical green skills.
✅ Train Trainers of Trainers (ToTs) to multiply the impact and scale across communities.

Imagine — what once rotted in bins now fuels stoves, generates income, and supports sustainability!

Through innovation, education, and collaboration, Waste to Gold is proving that when we invest in people and the planet, everyone wins.

Join us as we turn waste into wealth, despair into dignity, and challenges into change. Together, we’re creating a cleaner, fairer, and greener future for all.

This project aims to empower youth, PWDs, and women by creating multiple opportunities to stimulate the local economy, particularly in Kisii and Nyamira counties, which have significant population centers. The demand for eggs and meat in these regions is large, creating a vast market that calls for more poultry ventures. Kipajikazi, through its own projects and by contracting poultry farmers, helps set up sustainable income-generating ventures. As a result, numerous opportunities are being created, and the project is significantly boosting the economies of Kisii and Nyamira counties.

This initiative aligns with SDG 1 (No Poverty) by creating sustainable livelihoods, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through job creation and economic stimulation, and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering women and marginalized groups. The narrator, who mentors in the poultry wing of Kipajikazi, highlights how this project is fostering economic growth and community empowerment in the region.
This workshop, sponsored by the County Government of Siaya, aimed to empower grassroots leaders, particularly from PWDs, youth, and women’s organizations across the county. The goal was to equip them with the skills to identify feasible and viable business opportunities and explore the best ways to raise capital for their enterprises. Additionally, the workshop focused on how these leaders could scale their businesses by incorporating social entrepreneurship models.

By aligning with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the initiative promoted inclusive economic growth and job creation. It also addressed SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering women, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by supporting PWDs and marginalized communities, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward sustainable development and economic empowerment.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wire Brush Art Technology became a beacon of hope for youth and women in Korogocho and other counties in Kenya. This innovative art technique, embraced and sponsored by AMREF Africa, allowed young people to create murals on walls that conveyed vital COVID-19 prevention messages to the public. The project not only spread awareness but also provided economic opportunities to those involved.

Through the initiative, dozens of youth and women, previously unemployed, found work as artists and painters. This project aligns with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by providing sustainable livelihoods. The skills gained from mural painting have now positioned these youth to be part of Kenya’s ambitious housing project, further boosting their economic prospects.

By promoting community awareness through creative expression, the initiative also supported SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by helping prevent the spread of the virus. The Wire Brush Art Technology created a ripple effect, enabling these individuals to become self-reliant and contribute to their communities while advocating for SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), as it actively involved both youth and women in the project, fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

Social Entrepreneurship is the new front in creating social impact.
#Kipajikazi is a social Entrepreneurship model that enables sustainability towards the achievement of the UN SDGs, because it combines the two aspects of:
1. Social Impact.
2. Economical opportunities.

Initially or traditionally they have been running independent of each other, but it is a new norm that as a way of creating self sustaining social impact ventures then we must attach economical incentives.
